Reyne is a seasoned toy industry professional with over 28 years experience in marketing, researching and analyzing the toy industry and youth market. Reyne has developed products and solutions for the media, consumers, trade associations, retailers, manufacturers, and licensors, and has worked as a Toy Trend Specialist and Media Spokesperson for the past 10 years, advising the media on youth trends within toys, games and entertainment.

She is frequently consulted and quoted in trade and consumer publications, including The Toy Book, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Financial Times, Fortune, BusinessWeek, Brandweek and Forbes and has been featured on CBS Marketwatch,  NBC Nightly News, CBS Early Show, Businessweek TV, Fox Business and Good Morning Arizona. She has spoken at many industry-sponsored events on emerging trends and the state of the toy industry, most recently at the Consumer Electronics Industry (CEA) Forum in October 2007 on Electronic Toys, the Kidscreen West Conference on the topic of Top 10 Toys That Wow (May 2007, at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council on trends affecting the Youth Market (Feb 2007) and as the guest Keynote Speaker on Toy Trends and Innovations at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg, Germany (Feb 2007). She is slated to speak on Innovations in Toys and Beyond at the Dubai Middle Eastern Toy Fair in March 2008.

She is the Editor-in-Chief for The Toy Insider, which launched in Fall 2006. This annual Holiday Gift Guide publication is updated annually in the November issue of the consumer publication Redbook Magazine, which hit newsstands in mid-October. The guide is also located on the website: www.thetoyinsider.com.  Reyne has been published in the USA and Europe on many trend topics including Mental Gymnastics, the Cyber Playground, Kids Changing Media Habits, Toys and Fashion Icons, the Youth Electronics Market, Private Label, Hot Toy Selections, and the Arts & Crafts industry. She works as a consultant with the Toy Industry Association (TIA) and has also consulted with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). As an independent Toy Trend Specialist and Consultant, Reyne provides key insights for small, mid-tier and Fortune 500 companies and has maintained strong alliances within the industry, assisting top tier media in their reporting. She is also a consultant for Funosophy, Inc., a virtual organization that offers brand-building and strategic services for toys and entertainment products. She attends over 20 trade shows annually across various industries, seeking new trends and cross-over opportunities for the youth market.

Previously, she worked at The NPD Market Research Group as Director, Communications, Toys and Entertainment division, where she analyzed consumer behavior and retail tracking across the broad spectrum of toys.  She also served as the Industry Spokesperson for Toys in her role at The NPD Group. Reyne worked at Mattel and Mattel International Divisions, for 12 years, as Director of Marketing and Product Development for Barbie and Disney Products, and at Today’s Kids where she was Director of Marketing and Product Development. She began her career at Ogilvy and Mather Advertising, working on the Mattel International account, after completing her graduate degree at the University of Copenhagen in International Business. A California native, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree at California State University at Northridge in Marketing and International Business. Ms Rice is currently based in the New York metropolitan area and is the mother of two teenagers.
